20 Minute Baked Vegan Feta & Tomato Pasta (TikTok Inspired)
The TikTok recipe that went viral, causing feta cheese selling out in all Finish supermarkets. But don’t worry! That will certainly not be our case because we will, of course, be using plant-based feta cheese instead!
I couldn’t resist putting my own spin on it by adding a couple of extra ingredients, making this famous recipe even more amazing and delicious :-)!
This “no cooking skills required” type of recipe is an absolute hit that doesn’t only taste absolutely epic but is also done under 20 minutes.
Just like majority of my recipes, this one is also very straight forward. All you need is 5 simple key ingredients (plus herbs for seasoning), 1 pot and 1 baking tray.
I N G R E D I E N T S
- Block of Violife Greek White or Vemondo Vegan Greek Style)
- 2 packs of cherry tomatoes or 5 large tomatoes cut into smaller pieces
- 1/2 tsp of chilli flakes
- 4 cloves of garlic or 1 sml tsp of garlic granules
- 1 tsp of dried basil
- 4-5 tbsp of olive oil
- 6 tsp of tomato pesto
- 1 full pack of pasta of your choice
- Fresh basil for garnish
What can you add to make this pasta even more amazing?
Here are some extra ingredients you can add to make this recipe even more delicious. Especially if you already have these items at home.
- 1 tsp of Italian herbs (I only used this for more flavour and aroma)
- 1 heaped tsp of Cheese Flavour Sauce Mix (I love this mix as it really adds more cheesy flavour to any cheese recipe)
- 1 tbsp of nutritional yeast flakes (I use Engevita)
- 2 handfuls of fresh spinach

Preheat your oven to 200°C degrees. Place the whole block of Violife/Vemondo feta into the centre of an oven proof dish and pour all the tomatoes around it.
In goes freshly ground black pepper, salt, herbs, chilli flakes and garlic and then drizzle with a generous amount of olive oil all over. Lastly, add tomato pesto and sprinkle with yeast flakes and/or cheese sauce mix and place in the oven.
Fresh basil adds colour and aroma but if you don’t have fresh, simply just use dried.
Violife Greek White Block is ideal for perfectly smooth sauce. Vemondo doesn’t melt as well but adds more texture.
Whilst all the ingredients for your sauce are baking in the oven, cook the pasta, following the packaging instructions.
Once sauce is cooked, remove it out of the oven and stir well. This is my favourite part! The smell is incredible and combining the melted feta together with the bursting cherry tomatoes is very satisfying.
Fully melted, perfectly smooth, using Violife
Melted but with bits of cheese in places, using Vemondo Greek Style
Stir with a spoon until the tomatoes and “feta” melt and combine together. Add fresh basil leaves and then mix in the pasta. Serve immediately with extra freshly ground black pepper and decorate with garnish of your own choice!
Pour the sauce into the drained pasta and mix well until all pasta are evenly coated.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I know you will 😉 x x
