“Wake Me Up” Smoothie!

This smoothie is without a doubt my GO TO smoothie! It is the one I will always make if I had a few days (or weeks) of eating rubbish. Drinking all this green goodness first thing in the morning makes me feel as if I don’t have to worry about fruit and veg for the rest of the day. Also I have made buying celery, ginger and spinach into a habit. It is almost like milk, bread, and butter for others.

You don’t have to stick to this particular recipe but I do suggest spinach, celery and banana as a good base. If you aren’t a fan of celery use a little less and balance the flavour out with some extra added fruits, such as melon, mango or pineapple.

Ingredients:

  • x1 banana
  • x1 celery stalk
  • x1 handful of spinach
  • ginger
  • x3 slices of cucumber
  • pineapple
  • fresh mint
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 50 ml coconut water (optional)
  • 100 ml orange juice
